I am so happy you are here! Let me tell you a bit about our story.
My name is Florencia Mansilla and like my father, Daniel, I was born in Rosario, Argentina. Gelato isn't just a business for us, it's a family legacy.
Our Story and Gelato Tradition
About
La Argentina Gelato & Coffee is the next chapter of "Heladerias La Argentina" which my father founded 40 years ago in Maracaibo, Venezuela.
After moving to Houston and falling in love with the community, I knew I had to share our family's gelato tradition. So in 2016, we opened our first shop in Katy, TX.
We're thrilled to announce that in 2025, we're taking the next step opening our own production facility and a brand new store in Jersey Village!
We're dedicated to bringing you the highest quality gelato, crafted with natural ingredients a whole lot of love.
Our Experience
My father Daniel at a very young age began working in Argentina in one of the most important Ice cream factories in the region. He decided to immigrate to Venezuela and we finally all moved in 1983 where from 1985 to 2003 in Maracaibo he opened 8 shops and one Ice cream industrial factory.
I am a Journalist /Entrepreneur and cooking lover. Gelato is my favorite dessert and that is why I am very picky when it comes to creating a new flavor. I love to cook, I have attended many cooking courses, I learned to make gelato when I was little with my father and also traveled to Italy to specialize in new trends and new products to make gelato.
